BM&FBOVESPA Selects BWise for Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management
NEW YORK and SAO PAULO, Brasil and S-HERTOGENBOSCH, Netherlands, Dec. 19, 2012
(GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BWise, a NASDAQ OMX company and a global leader in
Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC) software, announced today
that it was selected by BM&FBOVESPA, the third largest exchange in the world
in terms of market value. BWise supports the exchange with its internal audit
and enterprise risk management processes. With a single risk framework and
risk language throughout the company, BM&FBOVESPA is able to conduct
assessments more efficiently, can offer GRC reports to the entire
organization, save costs and create transparency in the company due to the
reduction in the number of single solutions.
BM&FBOVESPA, created in 2008 through the integration of the Brazilian
Mercantile & Futures Exchange (BM&F) and the São Paulo Stock Exchange
(BOVESPA), selected BWise for internal audit and enterprise risk management.
BM&FBOVESPA chose the BWise solution due to its reputation as a respected and
well-known provider of integrated GRC software to track, measure and manage
key organizational risks, including the risk of non-compliance. Another BWise
client, NASDAQ OMX, the inventor of the electronic exchange, served as a key
reference for BM&FBOVESPA.
Marcel Starink, Vice President of Sales, Latin America at BWise, said,
"BM&FBOVESPA is an important customer for BWise. We appreciate the
organization's professional view on operational risk and internal audit and
are excited to present their project as a cornerstone reference in the Latin
American market. We are keen on developing our presence in the financial and
industrial sector in Brazil to help public and private companies minimize
risk, maximize efficiency and increase transparency with a suite of
governance, risk management and compliance solutions."
BWise, recently acquired by NASDAQ OMX, is pleased with the increasing number
of inquiries from Latin American companies and has noticed a trend in stock
markets globally showing increasing interest in the BWise GRC software
capabilities. As part of NASDAQ Corporate Solutions, the integrated BWise GRC
platform supports C-level executives and boards to be in control on their
financial and reputational risks while working more efficiently.
BWise is positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of the 2012 Magic Quadrant for
Enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Platforms. Request a
