CTV continues its reign as Canada's most-watched broadcaster, delivering more viewers in primetime than the other two private broadcasters combined, the data reveals. In fact, CTV has actually grown its lead over Global in primetime this fall, compared to Fall 2011, in all key demos, particularly among younger viewers aged 18-34. "As we said in June, our fall schedule required little tinkering, and that strategy has paid off with a very stable season," said Phil King, President, CTV Programming and Sports. "Our big hits like THE BIG BANG THEORY and THE AMAZING RACE have gotten even bigger, while we've added Canada's Top 2 new comedies, ANGER MANAGEMENT and THE NEW NORMAL, and one of the hottest new shows of the fall, ARROW. Now, we look forward to growing even more in mid-season with some of TV's most anticipated new programs." By a wide margin, CTV continues to deliver Canada's most-watched programming, with four of Canada's Top 5 programs in A25-54, A18-49, and A18-34, including Canada's #1 program and comedy THE BIG BANG THEORY and #1 drama GREY'S ANATOMY. Once again, CTV has more Top 20 programs than all other networks combined among total viewers, A25-54, and A18-49. In fact, CTV has delivered two additional series into the Top 20 this fall compared to Fall 2011, and one additional A18-49 series. As well, CTV has more Top 10 hits this fall compared to last fall with all key adult demos. CTV has also improved its performance across every night of the week in primetime winning six out of seven nights with Total Viewers and A25-54 (versus five last fall), and seven out of seven with A18-49 (versus five last fall) and A18-34 (versus five last fall).
