WESTLAKE, Ohio -- December 11, 2012

TravelCenters of America LLC (TravelCenters), operator of TA and Petro
Stopping Centers branded travel centers, today announced the winners of its
UltraChef Million Point Recipe Challenge. The two grand prize winners, Albert
Toney and Alex Creighton, each received 200,000 UltraONE™ Points. The two
winners will also have their menu items featured at participating TA and Petro
full-service restaurants and will receive 50 additional UltraONE Points each
time the dish is ordered.

The winning items are sure to satisfy driver’s desires for variety. Alex
Creighton, from LaGrange, Maine, submitted a recipe for Kielbasa Stir Fry that
features kielbasa and pasta with onion and cabbage. His creation will be
available in Petro Iron Skillet® restaurants beginning in mid-December. Albert
Toney’s winning entry is a tasty pulled pork meal called, “Linda’s Crock Pot
Pulled Pork.” This item will be available as a dinner and also as a sandwich
at TA restaurants beginning in mid-January.

Two runners-up were also chosen, each receiving 100,000 UltraONE Points. Keith
Ushman and Bernie Clawson submitted recipes for a Horseshoe Sandwich and
Chicken ‘n Noodles, respectively. Judging for the UltraChef Recipe Challenge
was done by TravelCenters’ executive chef and a restaurant panel of judges,
and was based on originality, taste and ease of preparation.
