Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life^®) hired Sandra
(Sandy) Gudvangen as vice president of policyholder services in the Enterprise
Operations department. Gudvangen will be responsible for managing policyholder
service delivery, including policyholder benefits and claims. She will also
oversee administration of the closed block of business, and will lead the
development of a new team focused on operations actuarial and tax. Gudvangen
will report to the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Operations, Jasmine

“Sandy has held a variety of senior leadership positions during her career
which will be beneficial as Allianz Life continues to enhance our operational
processes,” said Jirele.

Gudvangen has more than 20 years of senior and project management experience
primarily in the insurance industry. Most recently, Gudvangen was with
Hartford Life and Annuity Insurance Company in Woodbury, Minn., for the past
13 years. She was an assistant vice president for the Distribution Advocacy
and New Business area from 2009-2012 where she led more than 80 service team
members who managed new business cases and is credited with developing a new
distribution process. Prior to that, Gudvangen was a director in the New
Business department for four years where she managed processing operations and
directed more than 140 employees in two Minnesota locations. She also served
as an assistant director in New Business for four years and as a program
manager for three years.

Gudvangen began her leadership career in 1996 as a systems manager for a
pharmacy benefits provider, Express Scripts in Bloomington, Minn., where she
managed a team of 25 systems analysts and programmers. She also has experience
as a business analyst and technical lead beginning in 1991 with various

Gudvangen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics from the
University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wis. She holds FINRA Series 6 and
26 registrations.
