PRESS STATEMENT BY KENYA AIRWAYS ON COMPLIANCE WITH THE COURT RULING
Kenya Airways is in the process of reinstating all the 447 unionisable workers
who were affected by the staff rationalization programme, in compliance with
the ruling issued by the Industrial Court sitting in Nairobi on December 3,
2012.
As a responsible corporate citizen, with full respect of the rule of law, Kenya
Airways has complied with all the orders issued by the court. The employees who
reported to work this morning as directed by the Court are now in the process
of being issued with reinstatement letters and will be sent on leave awaiting
redeployment.
As earlier communicated, our lawyers are studying the ruling and its
implications, and will advise on the next steps in due course.
