at NATO Missile Firing Installation
Kratos' Internationally Deployed Firejet Aerial Target Drone System Utilized
for Advanced Threat Representation
SAN DIEGO, Dec. 4, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kratos Defense & Security
Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider,
announced today that its subsidiary, Composite Engineering Inc. (CEI),
successfully supported Patriot Weapon System live fire exercises for the
Hellenic Air Defense Forces on November 17, 2012 at the NATO Missile Firing
Installation (NAMFI) located on the Greek island of Crete. Utilizing Kratos'
internationally deployed Firejet aerial target drone system, designed and
produced by CEI, the Kratos team provided an incoming aerial target flight,
which represented a certain advanced threat against the Joint Forces.
During the operations, Kratos' Firejet target drone, which flew a specific and
predetermined flight sequence consistent with a certain threat representation,
was successfully tracked, engaged and fired upon by a Patriot Weapon
System. In a letter of appreciation received by Kratos CEI and their local
partner, ALTUS LSA, the NAMFI Commander said that "perfect cooperation and
communication was achieved between all involved parties, a fact that
illustrated that the companies CEI and ALTUS LSA are manned with highly
trained and competent personnel and also the service provision on their behalf
are of high standards."

aerial target drone systems exclusively designed and manufactured by Kratos'
