While many Oracle customers are delaying their ERP upgrades (often for up to
five years) due to fears about uncertain project lengths and costs, more than
100 Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) customers have moved forward using automated
upgrade technology from Panaya to plan and implement their upgrade projects.

Companies risk falling behind on key regulatory, legislative and
business-practice changes due to delays in implementing vital upgrades to
mission critical ERP systems. However, as these 100 Oracle customers have
conclusively proved, the risk and the challenge of a smooth and rapid upgrade
project can be significantly mitigated – by a factor of 50 – 70% – and should
no longer be a deciding factor in upgrade decisions.

The City of Las Vegas, one of Panaya’s newest customers, used Panaya to great
effect to overcome the fear factor uncertainties. Having counted on Oracle’s
EBS to support its operations since 1998, the City needed to upgrade to the
Oracle EBS 12 platform prior to Oracle’s announced end-of-life support for
their 11.5 system. With 2,600 employees using their system for daily

with leading the upgrade project. She received RFP responses ranging from
$600,000 to $2,000,000 and needed to inject some certainty into the process.
