                               Special Dividend

MIAMI, Dec. 4, 2012

MIAMI, Dec. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --On October 9, 2012, Carnival Corporation &
plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK) announced a quarterly cash dividend of $0.25
(U.S.) per share. The dividend is payable on December 14, 2012, to
shareholders of record on November 23, 2012.

The company also announced a special dividend of $0.50 per share which is in
addition to the previously announced quarterly dividend of $0.25 per share.
The payment date for the special dividend is December 28, 2012, to
shareholders of record on December 7, 2012.

Holders of Carnival Corporation common stock or Carnival plc ADSs will receive
a dividend payable in U.S. dollars. The quarterly dividend for Carnival plc
ordinary shares will be payable in sterling unless shareholders elected to
receive the dividend in U.S. dollars by November 23, 2012. The special
dividend for Carnival plc ordinary shares will be payable in sterling unless
shareholders elect to receive the dividend in U.S. dollars by December 7,
2012.

Both the quarterly dividend and special dividend payable in sterling will be
converted from U.S. dollars at the exchange rate quoted by the Bank of England
in London at 12 noon on December 3, 2012 (US$1 = 62.30530 pence). Accordingly,
the quarterly dividend payable in sterling on December 14, 2012 will be
15.57632 pence per share, and the special dividend payable in sterling on
December 28, 2012, will be 31.15265 pence per share.
