Thompson Creek Minerals Inc (TCM.TO) Raises US$350m in a Bond

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/03/12 -- The
Canadian Financing Bulletin has been a leader in tracking financing

In this week's report, the CFB published term sheets for 40 new
proposed placements from the mining, oil/gas (termed metals and
energy in the report) and technology sectors. Of those, 26 were for
mining stocks, 12 for oil/gas stocks, and two for technology stocks,
with the total value of new proposals reaching almost $925m. Nine of
these placements were designated a 'flow through' issuance and there
were two new debenture offerings. The largest new public proposal was
by Paramount Resources Ltd (POU.TO), which launched an offering
consisting of $300m worth of 7.625% 7yr bonds in a placement led by
RBC Dominion Securities.
The CFB published term sheets for 64 placements that were closed
during the week. Of these, 52 were for mining stocks, eight for
oil/gas, and four for technology stocks, with the total value of
these closings being over $636m. 14 of these placements were
designated 'flow through' issuances and three debenture placements
closed. The largest public closing was by Thompson Creek Minerals Inc
(TCM.TO) which closed an offering consisting of US$350m worth of
9.75% 5yr bonds in a placement led by Deutsche Bank Securities.
The CFB also tracked five amendments, two cancellations, and one
overallotment to placements published at the end of the weekly
report. To date, there have been 429 weekly reports created by CFB;
