                         TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 28 November 2012 it transferred from
treasury to participants in its all employee share scheme(s), the following
numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

1,302 ordinary shares at nil cost pursuant to the Amlin Share Incentive Plan –
Free Share Award.

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of
5,044,382 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 497,031,624 ordinary
shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
