Transaction in own shares

 

The Sage Group plc  ("Sage") announces that on  21 November 2012 it  purchased 
225,000 of its  ordinary shares  of 1p  each through  Deutsche Bank  AG at  an 
average price of 304.64  pence per share. The  highest and lowest prices  paid 
for these  shares were  306.30 pence  per  share and  302.30 pence  per  share 
respectively. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares.

 

Following the  above  purchase,  Sage holds  117,410,017  ordinary  shares  as 
treasury shares.  The total  number  of ordinary  shares in  issue  (excluding 
shares held as treasury shares) is 1,212,313,449.  

 

The total number of voting rights in Sage, excluding treasury shares, as at 21
November 2012 is 1,212,313,449.    This figure may be used by shareholders  as 
the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they  are 
required to notify their interest in, or  a change to their interest in,  Sage 
under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
