                       CATERPILLAR INC. FILES FORM 8-K

PEORIA, Ill.- 20 November 2012 - Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT / NYSE  Euronext: 
CATR / LSE: CTA)   informs its stockholders  that today, a  Form 8-K has  been 
furnished to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"). 

On  November  20,   2012,  Caterpillar   furnished  supplemental   information 
concerning deliveries to users for retail sales of machines and sales of power
systems to retail users and original equipment manufacturers.  This Form  8-K, 
and all previous Forms 8-K including  monthly dealer statistics in respect  of 
Caterpillar, can be found on the SEC Internet site (www.sec.gov).
