PRESS RELEASE - 15 NOVEMBER 2012
FAIVELEY TRANSPORT WINS A SERIES OF CONTRACTS FOR EVENT RECORDERS
Faiveley Transport has been awarded 6 new contracts for event recorders for
high speed and regional trains in Europe, Australia and South Korea confirming
its position as a world leader in this increasingly important market. The
combined value of these contracts exceeds 7 million euros.
Faiveley Transport has carried out significant research and development over
the last few years to create high tech systems that meet today's strict
railway standards. These systems have the advantage of meeting the legal
requirements in most European countries which allows operators running their
trains through several different countries to integrate one single system,
instead of a system per country. The recorders, notably ATESS and Driver
Information System (DIS), are also internationally renowned for their
reliability and low life cycle costs.
Event recorders are integrated into the Access & Information activity, which
produces door systems and passenger information.
"Our teams have a good understanding of our customers' technical constraints
and the strict norms & standards that vary from country to country", underlined
Gildas Rault, Director of the Information & safety Business Unit, "We were
able to win these contracts due to our standard range of products which we
adapt to each customer's specific needs."
Faiveley Transport is well positioned to continue its expansion worldwide in
this market and specifically in emerging countries.
