GEICO and Good Sports Team Up to Help Salesian Boys & Girls Club of East
Local youth to receive over $7,000 in new sports equipment
BOSTON -- November 15, 2012
Good Sports, a national nonprofit organization, and GEICO teamed up to grow
the sports program at the Salesian Boys & Girls Club by providing them with a
variety of sports equipment, including basketballs, footballs, soccer balls
and playground balls.
“Activities like team sports are important for children as they learn lessons
about commitment, teamwork, character, time management and sportsmanship,”
said Seth Ingall, GEICO regional vice president. “These lessons can’t be
learned without proper equipment, and we’re pleased to partner with Good
Sports to help support the efforts of the Salesian Boys & Girls Club.”
Father John Nazzaro, executive director of the Salesian Boys & Girls Club,
shares, “When different groups partner together for kids, only good things
happen. I would like to thank GEICO and Good Sports for helping us facilitate
a safe and fun environment for these kids to play after school and during the
The donation is part of an ongoing community partnership between Good Sports
and GEICO that will help bring new equipment and resources to youth sports
organizations in Massachusetts throughout 2012 – 2013.
