Arekibo, the digital business consulting company, has today announced that a
new corporate website created by Arekibo for CRH, one of the world’s largest
building materials providers, has received international recognition as it has
been shortlisted as one of the top four FTSE 100 corporate websites, alongside
British Land, Centrica and Imperial Tobacco at the prestigious IR Society’s
Best Practice Awards 2012.

With a market capitalisation of over €10 billion, CRH is Ireland’s largest

shareholders across the world, CRH wanted a new, fresh website to provide a

chosen to plan, design, build and manage a new corporate website for CRH, to
enhance communications with its global investor community, customers and other
stakeholders.

Arekibo worked closely with CRH to understand its primary objectives and
evolving communication needs, and then delivered a new online platform
providing a consistent, interactive experience across all browsers and
devices. A new content management system was developed to automate the
publishing process, enabling CRH to produce and publish engaging, relevant and
up-to-date content.

For its investor community, webcasts of key investor briefings are broadcast
live. Copies of investor presentations, annual and interim reports, CSR
reports and interim management statements are all available online. News
releases are published in the media section immediately after release to the
stock exchanges. CRH’s website has also been integrated with Reuters digital
platform to provide live online financial data, incorporating intuitive
charts, from Dublin, London and New York stock exchanges.

The new website is built to improve the user’s experience at all times. It’s
fully indexed for all search engines, has been designed to be responsive, is
easy to navigate, with quick downloads and is visually appealing with strong
use of relevant images to re-enforce CRH’s brand. All information can also be
received in a highly personalised manner, allowing web users to select
relevant information while browsing and add it to a virtual briefcase for
printing or export to PDF.
