Building on its portfolio of AARP-branded products, Aetna (NYSE: AET) is
offering a lower cost alternative to AARP members age 50-64 who are looking
for reliable health coverage. The AARP^® Value Plan 5000, insured by Aetna,
includes coverage for preventive care, prescriptions, doctor visits,
hospitalization, and diagnostic tests. As a preferred provider organization,
or PPO, the plan offers broad access to doctors and other health care
professionals.

“We are responding to the current economic environment by providing a lower
monthly premium option to AARP members who are seeking comprehensive medical
