Raven Industries Announces Class A Vapor Barrier With Post-Consumer Recycled
Content

SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Nov. 8, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Raven Industries
Engineered Films Division (Nasdaq:RAVN) announces the addition of VaporBlock®
G™, an innovative under-concrete-slab vapor barrier produced with a layer of
post-consumer recycled content. VaporBlock G is the first vapor barrier on the
market to exceed ASTM E1745-11, Class "A", and qualify under the LEED Building
Design and Construction 2009 Edition, Materials and Resources, Credit 4
(Recycled Content) for 1 LEED point. VaporBlock G is co-extruded using
state-of-the-art premium resins in the outer layers and 10% post-consumer
recycled content in the core layer. VaporBlock G is an addition to the proven
Raven VaporBlock® series of high-performance vapor barriers and gas/moisture
barriers. The official VaporBlock G product launch is November 14-16, in
conjunction with the GREENBUILD® 2012 International Conference and Exposition
in San Francisco, CA.

"We are pleased to introduce VaporBlock G to the construction industry. We
have been working closely with customers and building design professionals to
meet the need for a recycled product that contributes to higher project LEED
points," stated Anthony Schmidt, Vice President and General Manager for the
Raven Engineered Films Division. "Our challenge was to formulate a product
that could conform to the rigorous standards of our premium VaporBlock® line
and still incorporate post-consumer recycled resins. VaporBlock G has exceeded
our expectations by surpassing all performance criteria and providing a
sustainable green product to the industry."
