MINNEAPOLIS -- November 08, 2012

Kendall Bishop was named head of Internal Audit, a shared service supporting
the life insurance and property and casualty business for North America,
including Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life^®) and
Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company. In this role, Bishop will lead risk-based
Internal Audit projects and will continue building the data analytics and
project management expertise to increase the effectiveness of audit projects.

Bishop started his career in 1993 with LifeUSA Holding, Inc., which was
acquired by Allianz Life in 1999 as a commissions representative in Field
Compensation. He then served as a principal quality assurance analyst in IT
for seven years during the acquisition and integration of LifeUSA to Allianz
Life. Bishop also held roles as an IT audit manager for three years and a
principal strategic analyst with the Strategic Support and Analysis area until
2006.

Most recently, Bishop served as a senior director of Internal Audit where he
led a team that provides audit services for Allianz of America. During that
time, he served as deputy to the Head of Audit and was able to seamlessly
partner with the Group Audit function of Allianz SE on an international
quality review beyond the North American business. He also acted as interim
head of the Internal Audit division for North America. In addition, Bishop
partnered with Allianz of America executive leadership to design the strategic
direction of the Internal Audit functions.

Bishop earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin in
Eau Claire, Wis. Bishop is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified
Information Systems Auditor. In addition, he is a member of the Association of
Certified Fraud Examiners, the Institute of Internal Auditors, and the
Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
