Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada revs up for Movember with the chance to win a
brand-new Harley-Davidson® motorcycle in support of men's health
CONCORD, ON, Nov. 7, 2012 /CNW/ - Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada is thrilled
to continue its support as a Major Partner of Movember. And, what gets
moustaches growing faster than the chance to win a
Harley-Davidson(®)motorcycle? As part of this year's campaign, Deeley
Harley-Davidson® Canada will be giving away a 2013 Street Bob(®)motorcycle
to one lucky fundraiser.
"Movember is a cause that resonates with Harley-Davidson(®)owners and
supporters," says Buzz Green, Senior Vice President & General Manager, with
Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada. "We were overwhelmed by the positive support
in 2011, and we are even more excited about the nationwide involvement that is
gearing up for 2012."
And you really can win a brand-new Harley-Davidson(®)motorcycle. Last
year's winner, Bobby Tinkler, is the true epitome of a "Mo Bro" winner.
Tinkler's father had recently passed away, and it was as a tribute to his
father that he took on the role as captain of the Movember Team at the
family-owned Rona Store in Rawdon, Quebec.
"I wanted to do something to honour my father. He was always looking for ways
to help others. Dad rode motorcycles himself, and he would have loved taking
that Night Rod(®)Special [motorcycle] out for a spin."
Together, the team raised over $3,800, with Tinkler raising over $1,000
himself, and to his amazement, Tinkler won the 2012 Harley-Davidson(®)Night
This year's Movember hype is spreading across the country with local
Harley-Davidson(®)Retailers getting in on the fun. Launch parties have been
kicking off in major Canadian cities, including Toronto, Vancouver, Halifax,
and Montréal. Harley-Davidson will also be active on Canadian university
campuses sponsoring the Big Mo On Campus Awards, including a $2,500 gift card
to the leading campus fundraiser.
In 2011, Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada began their partnership with
Movember, raising over $130,000 in support of Prostate Cancer Canada helping
to change the face of men's health. This year's goal is to surpass their
donations and involvement, with more 'stache and more cash for a great cause.
"The Mos at Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada have been a great addition to the
Movember family," says Pete Bombaci, Movember National Country Director.
"Having such an iconic Brand embrace men's health and come on board as a major
partner will make for a truly exciting ride in 2012."
Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada is asking all Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to get
involved. With every $100 raised supporters receive a contest entry ballot for
the chance to win the Harley-Davidson(®)H-D1(TM)Factory Customized Street
Bob(®)motorcycle. Through Bike Builder, choose exactly how the Street
Bob(®)motorcycle will be customized - engine, fit, and styling - and Deeley
Harley-Davidson® Canada will build it that way, straight from the Factory.
