MEDIA ADVISORY: Hurricane Sandy Food Drive at Philadelphia-area Walgreens Stores Business Wire DEERFIELD, Ill. -- November 03, 2012 To aid New Jersey families needing food as a result of Hurricane Sandy’s devastation, Walgreens stores in Philadelphia and certain surrounding counties will be accepting non-perishable food donations Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 3 and Nov. 4. Donations to the food drive, organized in cooperation with the Hillside Community Food Bank of New Jersey, will be accepted at Walgreens stores in the counties of Philadelphia, Delaware, Chester and Lehigh. Items welcomed include non-perishable canned meals, canned soup, canned tuna, canned fruits, canned baby food, shelf-stable milk, peanut butter, cereal and diapers.
