                     Non-Executive Director appointments

 

 

Darty plc (formerly Kesa Electricals plc) (the "Company") today announces that
it has  appointed  Agnès Touraine  and  Carlo D'Asaro  Biondo  as  independent 
Non-Executive Directors  with immediate  effect.  They will  both sit  on  the 
Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees.

 

Alan Parker, Chairman said:

"I am delighted  to have  continued the restructuring  of the  Board with  the 
appointment of Agnès  and Carlo as  independent Non-Executive Directors.  With 
their strong  multi-media backgrounds  and knowledge  of Continental  European 
markets they will be a valuable addition to the Board, as we develop the plans
to improve profitability  of the Company  and create the  foundations for  our 
long term success."

Agnès Touraine  is President  and Co-Founder  of Act  III Consultants,  having 
previously served  as  Chief Executive  of  Vivendi Universal  Publishing  and 
Hachette Group.  She has  held Non-Executive  Director positions  at ITV  plc, 
Cable and Wireless plc and Lastminute.com.

 

Carlo D'Asaro Biondo  is Vice  President Southern and  Eastern Europe,  Middle 
East and Africa for Google and has previously served as Chief Executive of AOL
Europe and International Managing Director of the media group, Lagardère.
