Rebecca R. Seidl of Thomson & Knight LLP to Speak at Women’s Energy Network
– North Texas Chapter November 2012 Luncheon Meeting in Dallas
DALLAS -- October 23, 2012
Rebecca R. Seidl, Attorney for Thomson & Knight LLP in the firm’s Houston
office, will be the guest speaker at the luncheon meeting of the Women’s
Energy Network (WEN) – North Texas Chapter on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at
the Dallas Petroleum Club, 2200 Ross Avenue. Registration will begin at 11:00
a.m. followed by the luncheon from 11:30-1:00 p.m.
Seidl, who focuses her practice on oil and gas matters, will discuss “Gas
Gathering in Shale Plays.” Her presentation will be followed by a

Seidl represents natural resource companies in their transactional work and
assists clients in acquisitions, dispositions, and joint ventures. Her
practice includes E&P asset purchases, participation, and development
transactions relating to assets in Texas, Oklahoma and North Dakota;
preparation and negotiation of oil and gas leases; and advice and preparation
of agreements related to ongoing E&P activities.
Prior to Thompson & Knight, Seidl served as a Landman at Occidental Petroleum
Corporation as well as Law Clerk for the Honorable Tim Taft of the First Court
of Appeals in Houston.
Seidl is admitted to practice in Texas, Oklahoma, North Dakota and the U.S.
District Court of the Southern District of Texas. She received her jurors
doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2009 and a bachelor
of science, with honors, from Grand Valley State University in 2006.
The cost for WEN North Texas members to attend the event is $30 if they
register through Friday, November 2, 2012, and $35 thereafter. The cost for
prospective members is $45 if they register for the event through Friday,
