Gartner research over the past several years has identified the independent
evolution of four powerful forces: social, mobile, cloud and information. As a
result of consumerization and the ubiquity of connected smart devices,
people’s behavior has caused a convergence of these forces.

“Last year, Gartner urged CIOs and senior IT executives to re-imagine, rethink
and reconsider what IT means and how it can be applied to the needs and goals
of the enterprise. This year’s agenda aligns these forces in perspective with
a theme designed to help CIOs and senior IT leaders drive IT value and deliver
positive business outcome,” said Christine Furano, senior director with
Gartner Events.

“With this powerful IT confluence as a backdrop, attendees will learn how to
achieve greater focus on key strategies and technologies, connect people with
empowering information and ideas, and lead the way to unlimited IT
possibilities,” Ms. Furano said.

In the opening Gartner analyst keynote on Monday, October 22, analysts will
