Revenue Analytics announces Dax Cross, President, will present at the 2012
Cornell Hospitality Research Summit in Ithaca, New York on October 8^th and
9^th. Cross and Craig Eister, Vice President of Revenue Management for
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), will lead a discussion titled “Pricing as
a Competitive Weapon: How IHG’s Price Optimization Capability Revolutionized
Pricing for Hospitality.” The session will explore core concepts behind price
optimization including demand forecasting, competitive price positioning and
market response modeling to measure price sensitivity.

With the goal of stimulating a dialogue critical to the advancement of Revenue
Management within the hospitality industry, Cross and Eister will share IHG’s
journey that took transient price optimization from vision to reality, leading
a revolution in hospitality pricing. The presentation will conclude with
practical tips and examples of how hoteliers can use the core concepts behind
price optimization to improve transient pricing decisions immediately.
