This October, Macy’s (NYSE: M) has once again partnered with The Breast Cancer
Research Foundation^® (BCRF) to draw attention, heighten awareness and raise
funds in the fight against breast cancer. Throughout the month of October,
women, survivors and others also affected by breast cancer will have a chance
to acknowledge Breast Cancer Awareness month, and look good while doing good
with commemorative pink products, including fashion, cosmetics and home
merchandise.

“Macy’s has a long-standing commitment to giving back and supporting causes
that are important to the communities we live in,” said Martine Reardon, chief
marketing officer for Macy’s. “Our more than 10 year partnership with BCRF
demonstrates our ability to make magic by working effectively with our
vendors, employees and customers to get involved and fight for a cure. We know

and help to save lives by funding research to end breast cancer forever.”

will host a dedicated space in 350 stores across the country and online at
macys.com/pink, aptly named the “Pink Shop,” featuring a variety of items that
give back to causes devoted to awareness, education and research in the fight
against breast cancer, including trench coats from Pink Envelope and pink-hued
skinny denim from Celebrity Pink. Another way to think pink is with an

Retailing for $59.50, 5 percent of the purchase price will go directly to

According to the American Cancer Society, more than 200,000 new cases of
invasive breast cancer (Stages I-IV) are diagnosed among women in the United
States in a year, resulting in approximately 40,000 deaths. Breast cancer is
the second leading cause of cancer death in women, after lung cancer. Through
various partnerships and joint efforts, Macy’s maintains a steadfast
dedication to finding a cure. This year’s program is targeted to reaching
customers in every aspect of their lives.
