ARM technology is constantly evolving and being adapted for use in a growing
range of devices – from smartphones and mobile computing devices, to home
electronics and appliances to enterprise applications – and is used by
millions of developers worldwide. Designed for embedded software engineers
working with high performance ARM Cortex™-A processor and Cortex-R
processor-based systems, digital hardware engineers, test and verification
engineers, and software design consultants, the AAE exam-based accreditation
is the only global certification program available to engineers wishing to
demonstrate proof of their expertise in the ARM architecture. For more
information on the AAE Program, visit http://www.arm.com/aae. To register to
attend the free training course during ARM TechCon, or for more information on
the syllabus, visit http://e.ubmelectronics.com/armtechcon/aae?cid=mediaalert

Regularly available at a cost of $500, the free AAE Industry Briefing spans
the first two days of the conference. On October 30, world-class ARM trainers
will deliver a full schedule of ARM technical training aligned with the AAE
exam syllabus. October 31 will feature a more detailed introduction to the
program and the opportunities for partnering with ARM. Delegates will also be
given the chance to test drive a representative system with sample questions,
and to take advantage of a 20 percent discount to sit for the real exam.

Focus on Advances in Manufacturing
In addition to previously announced keynotes from ARM executives including CEO
Warren East and Executive Vice President Simon Segars, and Stanford professor
Jonathan Koomey, Jack Sun, vice president of research and development and
chief technology officer at TSMC, will discuss the expansion and acceleration
of leading edge technologies, including today's latest advances in
manufacturing excellence in his address, "An Ecosystem of Innovation." Sun
will pull from his experience leading TSMC's expansion and acceleration of its
roadmap and his leadership in driving advanced technology initiatives,
including today's leading edge 28nm process.

The ARM TechCon 2012 program includes more than 85 sessions led by industry
experts teaching the latest strategies and techniques for designing or
developing with ARM. The event addresses areas such as developing for open
source platforms, low-power design, safety and security and the latest in
human interface design. Attendees can select the content track that best suits
their role in developing solutions based on the ARM architecture.
