Rocanville fire underground extinguished, no injuries 
Rocanville, SK - PotashCorp reported late this morning that a
fire that occurred at its Rocanville mine earlier today has been
extinguished. The affected area remains very hot and is being
monitored. Once the area is secured, the mine will be ventilated
and the process of moving people to surface will begin. There
have been no injuries. 
At 1:56 am this morning a fire was reported at PotashCorp’s
Rocanville potash mine. All personnel underground were accounted
for and safely relocated to refuge stations underground. 
Emergency response procedures were initiated and mine rescue
teams were dispatched. Communications with the employees
underground are ongoing.
