Google, HP and VMware Executives Join Appcelerator's Leadership Team
to Support Enterprise Demand for Mobile Solutions

trio of top executives from Google, HP, and VMware to its leadership
team, as well as record sales, explosive growth of its mobile
ecosystem, and a series of industry accolades during the second
quarter of 2012.  
Appcelerator has appointed Lyla Kuriyan McInerney, formerly of
Google, as vice president of marketing; Jonathan Rende, who ran HP
Software's $1 billion application lifecycle management business, as
vice president of products; and ex-VMware executive Mark Aronica as
vice president of customer success.

record sales quarter increasing sales more than 100 percent from the
same period last year. Enterprise customers span a variety of
industries including financial services, oil and gas, retail,
technology, entertainment, consulting, and education.

Marketplace continues to rapidly expand with the integration of key
mobile ecosystem partners, growing 450 percent in less than one year.
Developers now have access to more than 250 third-party offerings
including strategic independent software vendor (ISV) partners
including InMobi (mobile ad network), uTest (testing services), and
emerging technologies such as Geoloqi (location-based services), and
Inneractive (mobile ad exchange).

 Also in the second quarter of 2012,
Gartner announced that it positioned Appcelerator in the Visionary
Quadrant of its "Magic Quadrant for Mobile Application Development
Platforms" (MADP) report, published April 26, 2012. This further

mobile platform.

Expanding, Enterprise-Savvy Leadership Team
 Vice president of
marketing, Lyla Kuriyan McInerney joins Appcelerator from Google,
where she managed the consumer operations teams responsible for more
than 30 products including Google web search, Chrome, Earth, and
Google Maps for Mobile. Prior to Google, Lyla was a vice president of
global marketing at SAP and also held marketing and leadership roles
at two startups. Lyla has a B.A. from Bowdoin College and an MPP from
Harvard University. 
Jonathan Rende, vice president of products, is responsible for
product management and marketing for Appcelerator's integrated mobile
platform, including Titanium, Titanium Studio, and Appcelerator cloud
and analytics products. Previously, he was vice president and general
manager for HP Software's $1 billion application lifecycle management
business. With more than 20 years of experience in the industry,
Rende has held various product roles at Informix, Lockheed, and
Mercury. He holds a bachelor of science in engineering from the
University of California, Davis and an MBA from Santa Clara
University. 
As vice president of customer success, Mark Aronica oversees support,
consulting, and training at Appcelerator. Mark has more than 20 years
of services experience, most recently at VMware, where he helped the
organization grow from 300 to 13,000 employees. During his eight-year
tenure at VMware, he built its Technical Account Manager program,
started its emerging markets services business, and ran services
worldwide for its cloud business unit. He grew each program to a more
than $30M business and was responsible for the integration of
multiple acquisitions. Mark is also an alumnus of Accenture and has a
Masters from Harvard University with advanced coursework at MIT.
