TCF Supports Colorado Springs after Waldo Canyon Fire

TCF Supports Colorado Springs after Waldo Canyon Fire

Business Wire

WAYZATA, Minn. -- July 17, 2012

TCF Bank today announced it is supporting the Colorado Springs community by
donating to the American Red Cross Waldo Canyon Fire Fund and by working
one-on-one with customers who have been affected by this tragedy. The Waldo
Canyon Fire covered 29 square miles, killed two people and destroyed nearly
350 houses when it burned into northwest Colorado Springs.

TCF Bank has 36 branches in Colorado, eight located in Colorado Springs. One
branch had to be evacuated for two days and many customers, employees and
their families were impacted by the fire and forced to leave their homes.

“Tragedy has touched our team and the people we serve,” said Tim Meyer,
Director of Branch Banking in the TCF Mountain West Region. “Through TCF’s
support of the American Red Cross Waldo Canyon Fire Fund and the personal
involvement of our staff, we are working hard to make their lives a little
easier. At TCF, we are committed to helping members of our team and the
customers they serve.”

At TCF, we encourage our employees to be actively involved in the
neighborhoods in which we live and work by supporting charitable organizations
whose mission is to help those in need. We also feel an obligation to respond
to natural disasters that impact our communities, whether it is Hurricane
Katrina, the 2011 Minneapolis tornado or the recent Colorado wildfires.
