About the Canadian Comedy Awards
Since 2000, the Canadian Comedy Awards (CCAs) have awarded over 250
"Beaver" statues to projects and artists for their excellence in live
performance, film, television, radio, and internet categories.
Leading up to the Awards, a multi-day Festival featuring performances
by nominated artists brings the very best in Canadian comedy to the
CCA's host city. The CCAs are administered by the Canadian Comedy
Foundation for Excellence (CCFE), a non-profit organization whose
mandate is to "recognize, celebrate and promote Canadian achievements
in comedy at home and abroad". The CCAs are one of the CCFE's core
