Internationally acclaimed contemporary gospel artist, Israel Houghton will headline this year's, Sounds of Gospel. As a singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, worship leader and as the leader of the musical ensemble and ministry organization "Israel and New Breed," Houghton has garnered 4 Grammy(R) Awards, 6 Dove Awards, 2 Stellar Awards and a Soul Train Award. Israel Houghton's multicultural upbringing has been pivotal in his boundary-defying music, inspiring people regardless of their age, race, or culture to come together as a united body. A keen sense of music chemistry has brought forth a wide-ranging catalog of songs which have become indispensable at worship services, on the radio and in CD players all over the world. Houghton also serves as the worship leader at the Lakewood Church in Houston, TX under the leadership of Pastor Joel Osteen.
