EPL Announces Promotions of Thomas D. De Brock and L. Keith

Vincent to Senior Vice President  NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 21, 2007 Energy Partners, Ltd. ("EPL" or the "Company") (NYSE:EPL) today announced Thomas D. De Brock has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President of Exploration and L. Keith Vincent to the position of Senior Vice President of Land and Business Development effective immediately. Both previously held the title of Vice President of their respective areas of responsibility.  Richard A. Bachmann, EPL's Chairman and CEO commented, "We are very pleased to name Tom and Keith to their new roles as Senior Vice Presidents. De Brock, who joined us in June 1998 as a Senior Geologist, was previously promoted to Exploration Manager, New Orleans in September 2004 and Vice President of Exploration in August 2006. Mr. De Brock has more than 23 years of energy industry experience in both the exploration and development efforts. Mr. De Brock began his career with GTS Seismic Corporation, and held various positions with other energy companies including Odeco Oil and Gas and W&T Offshore, Inc. working the Gulf of Mexico Shelf and The Louisiana Land and Exploration Company (LL&E) working the onshore area of South Louisiana.  L. Keith Vincent joined EPL as Land Manager in January 1999 and previously held the title of Vice President of Land and Business Development since July 2000. Mr. Vincent has over 28 years of domestic and international energy industry experience in various positions including Vice President, Land and Legal, of Great River Oil & Gas Corporation and managerial positions with Davis Petroleum Corporation and Transco Exploration Company.
