TELECOM North America Enter Into Strategic Sales and Marketing Agreement High-Tech Writers / Business Editors NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 8, 2004 EADS' Nexspan for Voice Service Offering to be Used For New Commercial Markets Rockefeller Group Telecommunications Services, Inc. (RGTS) and EADS TELECOM North America (EADS) have entered into a strategic sales and marketing agreement for a fully convergent, enhanced voice service offering to the commercial marketplace. RGTS services over 1100 corporate clients in 23 states. RGTS is a subsidiary of The Rockefeller Group, a New York-based corporation concentrated in real estate, real estate services, and telecommunications. RGTS is expanding its hosted service offerings by leveraging the features and functionality of EADS' Nexspan(TM) voice communications platform. The company's offerings will be made available to commercial enterprises. In addition to a hosted and/or managed arrangement, the company will also sell Nexspan products. "We are very excited to be working with a company with the staying-power of EADS. Expanding our hosted and managed services while adding resale services is a logical extension of our Telecommunications Services business," said Richard W. Helmuth, President and CEO of RGTS. "By leveraging the next-generation Voice over IP technology in Nexspan, combined with Rockefeller's 20 years of telecommunications experience and 70 years of success in real estate, we will be offering the marketplace a high-value service." RGTS has provided managed communications solutions to tenants in commercial office buildings for the past two decades. Targeted at small to mid-sized companies, the hosted solution will allow the company to offer its services to any company needing telecommunications services, either through managed or hosted environments. "Nexspan's versatility offers Rockefeller an outstanding base for its new offerings," said Philippe Lecat, president and CEO, EADS TELECOM North America. "Nexspan not only provides a solid foundation for an IP network, but it also allows RGTS the potential to preserve an end-user's legacy system investment. In addition, with more than 5,000 Nexspan systems installed worldwide, it is a fully developed system with a rich complement of applications and features available immediately." A complete solution that features native IP and a unique network signaling protocol, the Nexspan family has the ability to connect any combination of analog, digital or IP phones and is scalable to support up to 100,000 users in a network. In addition, Nexspan fits customers' existing enterprise infrastructure and is compatible with all of the IP and telephony protocols in common use today. Rockefeller Group Telecommunications Services plans to introduce the solution across the country in fourth quarter 2004. About Rockefeller Group Telecommunications Services, Inc. RGTS was founded in response to the Telecommunications Deregulation Act of 1984, to coordinate the rapidly diverging elements of telecommunications for the benefit of tenants located within the buildings owned and managed by the Rockefeller Group. Since that time the company's client base has grown steadily, as have its service offerings. Initially it provided managed voice services, local and long distance calling, cost allocation and reports, and voice mail. RGTS today addresses the total communications needs of its clients from the most common to the highly specialized by providing custom-designed solutions and services.
