Mercury Software Announces Execution of Letter of Intent and

                      Name Change to MedEx Corp.  
  DANBURY, Conn., April 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mercury Software 
(OTC Bulletin Board: MDEX), announced today that it has executed a Letter of 
Intent to effect a corporate merger with STG Corp., a Delaware company. 
Scheduled closing is expected on or before April 30, 2002.  In addition, 
effective April 9, 2002, Mercury officially adopted MedEx Corp. as its new 
name and "MDEX" as its new trading symbol.
