Amex to Trade Options on Five Securities

will launch trading in options on Tuesday, January 29, 2002 the following 
Nasdaq Stock Market and New York Stock Exchange listed stocks of:

     *  Harman International Industries, Incorporated (NYSE: HAR) 
     *  Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon, Inc. (Nasdaq: STAR; Option Symbol: OUE)

     *  Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. (NYSE: WIN) 


  Fred's Inc. options will open with position limits of 22,500 contracts. 
The options will trade on the February expiration cycle.  The specialist will 
be Charlton SLK.   Fred's Inc. operates discount general merchandise stores in 
the southeastern United States.  
Harman International Industries, Incorporated options will open with 
position limits of 22,500 contracts.  The options will trade on the January 
expiration cycle.  The specialist will be Botta Capital Management LLC. 
Harman International Industries, Incorporated designs, manufactures, and 
markets high-fidelity audio and video products.  
Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon, Inc. options will open with position limits 
of 13,500 contracts.  The options will trade on the January expiration cycle. 
The specialist will be Cohen, Duffy & McGowan, LLC.  Lone Star Steakhouse & 
Saloon, Inc. owns and operates a chain of restaurants.  
Tier Technologies, Inc. options will open with position limits of 22,500 
contracts.  The options will trade on the January expiration cycle.  The 
specialist will be Susquehanna Investment Group. 
Tier Technologies, Inc. provides information technology consulting, 
application development, and software engineering services.  
  Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. options will open with position limits of 31,500 
contracts.  The options will trade on the January expiration cycle.  The 
specialist will be Knight Financial Products, LLC. Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. is 
a food retailer with stores in the United States and the Bahama Islands.
