announced that it has shipped the first of its kind 18Ghz channelized high
power MMDS system to Hong Kong Cable Television Ltd.
Hong Kong Cable, the only wireless distributor and fibre optic system
provider in the territory, signed a contract with UBS in February 2000. UBS
has provided Hong Kong Cable with a complete 18 GHz point-to-multipoint video
distribution system with transmitters, repeaters, transmit antennas, LNBs and

The fully redundant system, consisting of twenty channel transmitters is
completely automated through computer control. Compared to an LMDS system, the
