Licence Business Editors & Automotive Writers NARRABEEN, Australia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 15, 2001--Automotive industry I.T. developer, Infomedia Ltd. today announced the signing of a 4 year exclusive data license agreement with General Motors' Asia Pacific to supply its Microcat(R) electronic parts catalog system to General Motors dealers in the region. Microcat is an electronic parts selling system for the automotive industry. It is designed to make the selection and sale of replacement parts quicker, easier and more accurate. Speaking from Japan, Richard Graham, Chairman and CEO of Infomedia Ltd. said, "The signing of this agreement represents a milestone for Microcat. It recognizes Infomedia's international depth and global expansion in the field of electronic parts catalogs." Through its wholly owned subsidiary, Datateck Publishing Pty Limited, Infomedia and General Motors' Holden subsidiary have enjoyed a long and fruitful association in Australia and New Zealand. Initially, Datateck supplied microfiche parts catalogs for Holden vehicles in the 1970's, followed by the supply of the Partfinder(R) EPC system in the 1990's. Infomedia and General Motors are now working together throughout Asia Pacific to enhance the sales of genuine parts in the region.
