American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R)) Announces Details Of

                      Phase Three Decimalization  
  NEW YORK, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R)) 
today announced the details of the third phase of its decimalization plan, 
which is part of an industry-wide initiative that began on August 28.  
Beginning December 4, 2000, in accordance with the industry conversion 
plan, the Amex will begin trading 15 option classes in decimals.  All 
underlying equities are listed on the New York Stock Exchange.  The 15

  The first phase of the industry-wide conversion to decimals began on 
August 28, with the Amex trading six of its listed equities and two option 
classes in decimals.  Full conversion to decimals is expected no later than 
April of next year.
