Company Continues Expansion of Its Worldwide Conferencing Capability

DENVER, May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- ACT Teleconferencing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACTT, ACTTW), a full-service international provider of audio, video and data teleconferencing products and services, today announced the opening of a new operations facility in Sydney, Australia.

With the new office in Sydney, ACT continues to expand its worldwide conferencing capability with existing offices in San Francisco, London, Brussels, Amsterdam and its headquarters in Denver, Colorado. As with all other ACT offices, the Sydney facility will offer a full range of audio, video and data teleconferencing products and services. In the videoconferencing sector, the Company recently announced it has entered into a strategic co-marketing agreement with AT&T. Both companies will jointly sell ACT's ActionView(TM) videoconferencing products and services with AT&T's Global ISDN products to provide customers with pre-tested, cost-effective, videoconferencing solutions.

Gerald D. Van Eeckhout, chairman of ACT Teleconferencing, stated that, "ACT is pleased to establish a presence in Australia where we will provide superior service and local support to Australasian clients. Peter Eeles, the new managing director of ACT Teleconferencing Pty Ltd. in Sydney, comes to ACT with extensive experience in the teleconferencing industry. He previously served as general manager of VTEL's exclusive distributor of videoconferencing products and services for Australia and New Zealand. Eeles has also worked for blue chip corporations including the AMP Society, Australasia's largest insurance company, and Lend Lease Group, a financial and construction group in the top ten Australian publicly listed companies.
