PACKARD ELECTRIC SELL HOHN KABEL, COMMODITY CABLE DISTRIBUTOR

WARREN, Ohio, May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Packard Electric's European operations have announced the sale of their non-automotive commodity cable distributor, Hohn Kabel GmbH, located in Neuss, Germany.  Hohn Kabel GmbH was purchased by DRAKA HOLDING N.V. of Amsterdam, Holland.  The sale was effective April 1.   All 68 employees of Hohn Kabel have been absorbed by DRAKA HOLDING N.V.  Hohn Kabel specializes in copper-based cable for electricity supply, building installations, ship building, mining and elevator industries. Hohn Kabel has been part of Packard Europe's Reinshagen operations for approximately 28 years.
