FANUC ROBOTICS NORTH AMERICA SUPPLIES GM'S WILMINGTON PAINT SHOP

                  WITH INTEGRATED BELL SYSTEM  DETROIT, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- General Motors Corporation (NYSE: GM) has selected FANUC Robotics North America, Inc. to supply an integrated bell painting system for its manufacturing facility in Wilmington, Del.  The fully automated system will apply a primer surface coat application to Chevrolet Corsica and Beretta vehicles.  "Controlled Bell Zones provide electric servo controlled electrostatic painting with bells," said James Vaughan, FANUC Robotics' manager of paint and sealing sales.  "The bell painting process offers paint finishing customers the benefits of precise body contouring, improved appearance, uniform film build and a clean wall design that protects bell equipment from the spray environment, reducing air flow disturbances and dirt contamination."  Included in the system are a nine-bell machine equipped with ACCUFLOW, a closed loop fluid delivery control system, and BellWorks, an easy-to-use, menu-driven software package that provides a single point operator interface between the bell system and its fluid maintenance information.
