Professor Guillen Says Botin Record at Santander `Good': Audio
April 28 (Bloomberg) -- Mauro Guillen, a professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, talks with Bloomberg's Charles Penty about Banco Santander SA's growth strategy, its exposure to subprime mortgages and the performance of Chairman Emilio Botin. Sticking to basic banking has enabled Santander to sidestep financial land mines that have jolted competitors such as Citigroup Inc., the biggest U.S. bank by assets, and UBS AG, Switzerland's largest, that got caught up in the collapse of the U.S. subprime mortgage market. Guillen has co-written a history of the bank. (Source: Bloomberg)
