July 12 (Bloomberg) -- Anti-Syrian Lebanese Defense Minister Elias Murr was wounded in a bombing in Beirut today, al-Jazeera reported.

The explosion rocked Antelias, an Eastern part of the city, early today, injuring two other people, al-Jazeera reported.

Live transmission from the scene of the blast showed Murr being lifted out of a car. He was covered in blood though al Jazeera said the minister was only lightly wounded.

Further details weren't immediately available.
