NYSE's Niederauer Says `Uptick Rule' May Take Six Months: Video
April 9 (Bloomberg) -- Duncan Niederauer, chief executive officer of NYSE Euronext, talks with Bloomberg's Cris Valerio about the outlook for the implementation of Securities and Exchange Commission rules curbing short sales.
The SEC may take three to four months to finalize a rule designed to make it harder for short sellers to complete trades, Niederauer said. It may take brokerages and exchanges another three or four months to overhaul their systems to comply with the rule, he said. (Source: Bloomberg)
