IETA Says Industry CO2 Trade May Work in Place of Broader Caps
March 5 (Bloomberg) -- Carbon trading programs for high- polluting industries may fill the void as broader cap-and-trade systems for entire economies face opposition in emerging nations, according to the International Emissions Trading Association.
The Geneva-based association outlined three options in a report today, including one that allows nations to set their own incentives for industries rather than adhere to international restrictions.
