Aeroports de Paris Says Passenger Spends Record on French Wine

By Andrea Rothman

Dec. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Aeroports de Paris, the owner of the French capital’s Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports, said a Chinese passenger spent a record 46,423 euros ($65,013) buying wine on Christmas Eve.

The passenger, bound for Beijing from Charles de Gaulle Airport, included among his purchases a Cote du Rhone La Tache from 1991 and several bottles from the Bordeaux region, including a Lafite Rochschild bottled in 1947 and a Chateau Latour from 1976, the airport owner said in an e-mailed statement.

The previous record was set March 20, 2007, when another Chinese passenger spent 23,300 euros on French wine.
