Strategic Evaluation Process

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--February 15, 2008 Sun-Times Media Group, Inc. (NYSE:SVN) today announced that its Strategic Alternatives Committee has retained Lazard to assist the Company in its evaluation of the Company's strategic alternatives to enhance shareholder value. On February 4, 2008 the Company announced it would undergo this process. These alternatives may include, but are not limited to, joint ventures or strategic partnerships with third parties, and/or the sale of the Company or any or all of its assets.
