Telefonica to Sell New IPhone in Latin America This Month

Aug. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Telefonica SA, Europe's second-largest telephone company, will sell Apple Inc.'s new iPhone 3G in Latin America on Aug. 22.
Telefonica will initially start selling the handset in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Peru and Uruguay, the Madrid-based company said today in an e-mailed statement.
