Aug. 18 (Bloomberg) -- OAO VimpelCom, Russia's second-largest mobile-phone company, and OAO MegaFon, the third-biggest, may sign a deal with Apple Inc. to start selling iPhones in the country this week, Vedomosti reported.

As part of the agreement, Apple wants each operator to buy 1 million to 1.5 million iPhones, the newspaper said, citing unidentified people at the two companies.
