Sept. 10 (Bloomberg) -- The Italian government reached an agreement with labor unions of Fiat SpA’s CNH Global NV agricultural equipment unit on temporary lay-offs for the Imola plant, the Industry Ministry said in an e-mailed statement late yesterday.

The agreement allows the government and unions to start negotiations on the future of the plant, the statement said.
